A Date with Diamonds - with Kama Jewellery

A Date with Diamonds!!!! Now that's a date I wouldn't miss! Would you?

That's what the invitation said. And that's what took me to the launch of a new jewellery collection by Kama Jewellery which was hosted by the beautiful Parimita Chakravorty of MumbaiGloss fame.

This was a first look of the collection and Kama even has a contest for naming it - Name it, Blog it and Win prizes. All the bloggers present have been asked to come up with a name for the new collection.

And so my name for the collection is ..... "Kashwini"
Kashwini means a Star. Kama's gorgeous diamond collection is like stars in the sky, just as alluring and fascinating. All of us wished that we could pluck a star from the sky as a child. Well, with this collection, you can definitely own a part of the sky :-)

To see what other bloggers have named it, see the below link:

Outfit of the Day - Fantastic Floral

I received this gorgeous floral dress from Sheinside and it was instant love! With its cream colour, the beautiful floral print, which is mainly concentrated on the sides, is well highlighted.

The material of this dress is stretch cotton which is of very good quality. Even my tailor commented on the material and said it was very good. The dress was a bit loose and also too long for me. So I had it taken in at the waist and had the length reduced. I left the the extra material at the hips as it is. This gives the dress a retroesque (is that a word?) tulip shape that I really liked :-)

I styled the dress with a narrow blue belt, blue shoes and white and red earrings to bring out the colours of the print. What I like about the dress that it can be worn formally to office and also as a party dress!

So what do you think of my OOTD?

Resort Look 2

I put on this outfit to stroll around the resort and just relax. I paired a black and white skirt with a black tee and added a statement necklace for some glam. And given the agenda, I put on some comfortable walking shoes.

The flower behind my ear was a constant companion at the resort. So you will see it in most pics :-p

Hope you this look. Let me know in the comments :-)

Resort Look 1

While at Prakruti Resort, we did get a chance to click a few outfit pics and I plan to share each outfit pic separately with you :-)

For me, heels were a no no most of the time at the resort. Firstly, because of the amount of walking we did, secondly, at the beach, heels would be just impractical. And lastly, I was on vacation and I wanted my comfort! :-D

So in the first look, I wore my colourful Forever 21 dress with gold flats, green button earrings, my favorite purse from Sammydress and a flower. I did try the dress with red flats, but eventually decided that the neutral gold flats looked better with the dress.

Let me know what you think! :-)

Happy birthday hubby :-)

June 6 was hubby's birthday. We were anyways taking the day off. At the last minute, we decided to go away for the weekend and we decided to go to Prakruti Resort in Kashid. This resort is around 130 kms from Mumbai. While this distance is not very long, it takes quite some time to reach the resort because of narrow roads and traffic.

Anyways, the main attraction at Kashid is the beautiful, white sand beach. And the resort itself is very beautiful and peaceful. We found it quite hot given the current temperatures in Mumbai, but would definitely like to go back in winter :-)

Overall, it was a lovely weekend away. We spent our day lazing, walking around the resort, taking some pics and would end up at the beach in the evening.

Sharing some pics from our weekend away :-)

Outfit of the Day - Hubby and me

Today I am sharing outfit pics of the dress that I was wearing in the post - fun with friends.

As you might have noticed, I was wearing a hi-low dress with I paired with my beautiful Romwe earrings. Before going to Bandra, I went to meet my mom. She saw my dress and started laughing. She had seen other girls wearing hi-low dresses and found the uneven hemline really funny. She couldn't believe that I was wearing a dress like that!

Well .... I have nothing to say about that :D. I just laughed along with her.. Though she did call me later to say that I looked nice. Aren't moms the sweetest! :-)

PS: after seeing the pics, I realized that the hi-low dress actually makes me look short :(
