Outfit of the Day - in Madrid

These are some outfit pics which I totally forgot! This is what I wore on one of the days in Madrid last November. The outfit is simple, and the main points of interest in the pics are the backgrounds :-D

The weather in Madrid was quite warm even though it was November. So paired a turtle neck tee with a black skirt, stockings and a warm jacket. Like I said, a simple but comfortable outfit. :-)

So do you like it? And do you like the backgrounds? ;-)

Outfit of the Day - totally casual

This is the outfit I wore in the weekend to run errands. The jeans is the one I got from Spain. I paired it with a yellow tee and yellow sandals. Added my black sling bag, big earrings and red lips, and I was done!

I think the effect is comfy and cool :-)

So do you like it? Or are the yellow sandals with the yellow tee a bit too matchy?

Tee - local shop in Ghatkopar

Outfit of the Day - Valentines Day

Hello Everyone! Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day :-) Hubby was not well, so we spent most of the day at home and just went out for dinner. But it was good to spend time together. After all, that is what is important on the day of love - spending time together right? :-)

Many of you loved the print of the dress in the preview that I put up last week. So hope you like the complete dress as well! I played on the colors in the dress and paired the dress with pink and blue shoes, blue button earrings and pink purse. The heart print on the dress was ideal for Valentine's Day and the fact that the dress is super comfy, made it just perfect.

So does the dress meet up to the preview expectations? Let me know!

Valentine's Day outfits - spoilt for choice!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, the hunt is on for the perfect dress! Every girl has an idea of what her dress should be like - long vs short, simple vs sexy, elegant vs bling, black vs colorful :-) I am sure you have some design in your head as well ;-)

To make the search a bit simpler, I would like to introduce you to PromTimes.co.uk. This website features prom dresses, evening dresses, bridesmaids dresses and cocktail dresses. You will find every silhouette possible and in every color imaginable. In fact, for many of their dresses, you can actually choose from around 30 colors and also customize the dress according to your size. This is not option that I have seen at other websites where you have to make do with the sizes and colors that 'they' offer.

If the above option was not attractive enough, PromTimes also offers dresses to suit everybody's pocket - from £30 to well over £100. It is never easy to get a cocktail dress for less than £50, and that too a beautiful one with loads of color options. And whats more, PromtTimes is having a sale - upto 75% off - even on their latest 2015 collection!!

So what are you waiting for?? Jump over to PromTimes.co.uk and pick up one of these beauties - tailored perfectly to suit you :-)

Am sharing some of my favorites from their website. Let me know which ones you like!

Colour in Formals - a bit of yellow

I am back with another Colour in Formals post :-)

This time, the addition of colour is quite subtle, and there is no pop. Most of the elements of this outfit are in dull corporate colours. The only addition is through a couple of yellow beads in the necklace and the yellow purse - which is quite small and does not overwhelm the whole look with colour.

The dress I am wearing is quite old and one of my favorites. Its formal and comfortable at the same time :-) Given the cool weather in Mumbai, I added a turtle neck tee under it for a more formal look. Added the necklace, purse and my black peep toes and I was done! And I have kept the hairstyle quite severe with no loose tendrils anywhere.

So what do you think? Does the colour come out in this OOTD?

Dress - Bombay High
Turtle neck tee - Zara
Necklace - from Bhuj
Purse - Baggit (gifted by sis-in-law)
Sunnies - bought in Spain
Shoes - Heelwoods (R-City mall)

I am unlimited

As a little girl, I dreamed .. and I dreamed. And those dreams were BIG! - I would be the richest person in the world, or the most powerful; I would be a superstar or a superhero (heroine in this case); I would bring about peace in the world or would eliminate poverty.

As you can see, my dreams were maybe unrealistic, but they were precious to me. I compare what I am today to those dreams, and I guess I have achieved not even a fraction. But when I really think about it, I have achieved so much more....

I had to leave my dreamland and face reality once I finished college. I was in my early 20s and looking forward to further studies - I wanted to do an MBA. But there was a shock waiting for me. My mom had started scouting for a husband for me (In a gujarati family, early 20s is the perfect age to get married and settle down). I was working at a local firm, wanting to gain some experience before my MBA. And here it looked like I would be shackled for life!
