Garnier body cocoon intense moisture lotion - Review

I have been searching around for a good body lotion for a while now. Just to let you know, I am not much of a lotion or cream person. I do not use any cream on my face (I know! thats awful!) and I cannot bear creams or lotions which are even a little sticky. However, once winter sets in and in general, since I work in an air conditioned office whole day long, my skin tends to dry up very fast and I need something for my arms and legs.

After trying many different lotions like the Body Shop strawberry body butter (my boss came out of the cabin just after I finished putting this once last year {I put cream after reaching office}, and commented - something smells really good, does any of you have something nice to eat???!!! .. hehe), Galenco baby lotion (I thought since it is good for babies, it will definitely be good for me :D), Olay and others, I tried the Garnier body cocoon lotion.

Before I start on the Garnier review, I would like to clarify that the Body Shop and Galenco creams were good (yes, despite me smelling like yummy strawberries after applying the Body Shop body butter). But for me, they were sticky. And Galenco of course smelt like baby  powder, so a bit too much for me :)

Now on to the review:

Price: INR100 for 125ml (actual price INR115, I got the one which had a special offer)

Ingredients:

The lotion is more like a cream, meaning it is thick and does not flow easily out of the bottle. I actually have to sqeeze it out of the bottle. But once the lotion is in my palm, it starts to warm up and the glob of cream tends to run down my arm if I tilt my palm.

Overall, I am very happy with this lotion. For now, this is the lotion I will continue using till I find something better - if there is something better to find!

Pros:

• It is very easy to apply. It glides onto the skin.
• It gets absorbed immediately and there is no stickiness. So totally perfect for me!
• It is quite inexpensive compared to the other lotions in the market.
• Has a mild fragrance so will not irritate even someone with a very sensitive nose.
• Will last long. Two pea sized amounts are sufficient to cover my arms.
• I believe this lotion will work well in summer as well. It has become quite hot in Mumbai now and I don't find that the lotion becomes sticky once I am out in the sun. This was not the case with the other lotions I used.

Cons:

• Contains parabens.
• Requires reapplication after 4-5 hours. This might be due to spending the whole day in an air conditioned office (they keep the temperature very cold in my office). Also, my palms dry out even faster and require reapplication in 2-3 hours. This again might be specific to me.
• Once the bottle is more than half finished, sqeezing the lotion out might become a task!
• Should not be used on face. This has been specifically written on the bottle. While this is not exactly a con, I tend to just rub my palms over my face after applying lotion on my arms so that my face gets some moisturization. I of course do not do this with the Garnier lotion.

I would recommend this lotion to anyone who hates sticky creams. You will definitely love it!
